Leigh
Gowland
President & CEO
Leigh was born in 1965 in Peterborough Ontario and raised nearby in the town of
Bewdley. As a youngster, she spent a lot of time at the dentist and although she didn’t like the needle that sat in the blue container of liquid that tasted bad, she did like the idea of becoming the girl that helped the dentist. As the granddaughter of a local potato farmer, Leigh learned at an early age that one had to “dig deep to get to the root, that’s where success begins”. |

Talkin Teeth
- Leigh
In 1983 she ventured to the big smoke as a student of the Dental Assisting Program at George Brown College. With time, Leigh adjusted to city life, graduated, secured her first position and began her career in the dental sector. For the first 18 years Leigh worked cheek to cheek and knee to knee with Dr. Allan Fox, a dedicated Dentist and wonderful mentor. With the natural progression of dentistry, it became apparent that more time was needed to be spent educating the patient; thus the creation of the Treatment Coordinator position. Leigh was the natural fit within her practice.
